Courage comes from a shadowed place in our hearts; a blurred line that straddles love and sheer stupidity.
To seventeen-year-old Ava, wild woodcats, hungry stragglers, and simple-minded townsfolk are the evils she’s grown accustomed to. But when Ethan, an unusual man with eyes of smoke and fire opal, enters her world she quickly understands that there are worse things out there than drunken men and carnivorous forest creatures. She’s a specialised liar and a hell of a fighter, but against a group of animalistic men called Berserkers she struggles to survive the encounter as the desperate swing of a dagger is all it takes to change her life for good.
Half-dead and hunted by the Berserker’s leader when he forms a monstrous obsession with her, Ava escapes his pursuit in an unfamiliar land full of impossible creatures, unlikely allies, and the man she doesn’t know whether to kiss or kill.
But after dreadful news of her missing brother surfaces, Ava becomes more involved in the centuries-long war and begins to unravel the reasons behind her relentless nightmares, discovering truths long-buried in a violent history of love, loss and betrayal.

The second book is coming out on February 6th, 2018.
I’m really excited for this upcoming release!

WHY AM I WAITING?
Now, I need to be honest with you guys. I’ve only read one book by Marissa Meyers and that was “Cinder“. It’s been a long time and I enjoyed the book, but haven’t bought the sequels yet.
I’m curious and I constantly see amazing reviews about “The Lunar Chronicles”. I don’t know why I haven’t finished the series yet. I really liked of “Cinder” though.
I like the author’s writing and this new book sound really good.
Plus, I absolutetly love characters with powers. This one should be amazing as well, so I can’t wait to have my own copy.

AUTHOR: Stephanie Perkins
TITLE: There’s Someone Inside Your House
PAGES: 289 pages
PUBLISHER: Dutton Books for Young Readers
RELEASE DATE: 26th September, 2017
PRE-ORDER: Amazon

SYNOPSIS:
One-by-one, the students of Osborne High are dying in a series of gruesome murders, each with increasing and grotesque flair. As the terror grows closer and the hunt intensifies for the killer, the dark secrets among them must finally be confronted.

International bestselling author Stephanie Perkins returns with a fresh take on the classic teen slasher story that’s fun, quick-witted, and completely impossible to put down.

WHY AM I WAITING?
I love Stephanie Perkin’s writing. It’s so clean, complex and full of details. The first story that I’ve read from her were “My True Love Gave To Me”. Her short story was one of my favorites.
“Anna and the French Kiss” is on my TBR for a really long time. I’ve read a few pages, but stopped, because I wanted to buy a physical copy. I hope I can fix this pretty soon and get to know more of her work.
Also, the cover and the synopsis of “There’s Someone Inside Your House” looks amazing.
I love this genre and books that make me guess who is the killer.
I’m so excited to find out what the author will bring us this time.

July TBR and Reading Marathon

Hello, readers!
My reading slump it’s almost gone and there’s a reading marathon happening this month. Can I hear an aleluia?
It seams that everthing it’s getting better now, even with the blog.

The reading marathon that I’m going to participate calls MLI 2017 (Maratona Literária de Inverno). It’s an brazilian reading marathon for this winter, hosted by an brazilian booktuber.
It’s two weeks long, starting on 16th of July.

This marathon has some challenges, so these are the books I’ve chosen:

2560x1440-white-solid-color-background.jpg

Blue cover:By Your Side” by Kasie West
Under 200 pages:A Monster Calls” by Patrick Ness
Bought because of the cover:The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Read of the month: “Magnus Chase: The Sword of Summer” by Rick Riordan

This is it! It’s not too much and most of the books are short, so maybe I’ll be able to read all of them without any problems.
I was really in need of a reading marathon. It’ll help me a lot!

What’s your plans for this month?

Bestselling author Lauren Oliver brings the Replica duology to a shocking close in Ringer, but like both Gemma and Lyra, you won’t be able to leave the world of Haven behind after you’ve turned the last page.

WHY AM I WAITING?
I’m really excited to read this book. I’ve read “Replica” last year and to be honest, it wasn’t one of my favorites. However, the ideia of the book it’s promissing.
The author made a few mistakes at the first book and I hope that she corrected them in this sequel. Also, I’m curious to see what will happen to the characters and how the drama will unroll.

TBR Zero Project

fundo-branco-md

Oi, pessoal!
Pensando nisso, eu criei o TBR Zero.

Hello guys! What’s up?
At the end of last year, I decided to separate all of my unread books and the result was scary!
Aparently, I own 74 books on my TBR. I knew it was a lot of books, but I’m surprised. After this shock, I’ve decided to read all of them till the end of 2017.
Having thiis is mind, I’ve created the TBR Zero project.

I know it looks almost impossible, but I’ll try anyway. I’m hoping to read at least 60% of this giant pile.
I’m also restriting myself of buying more books. I’ll only buy books that I’m waiting forever to be released here in Brazil, like Fire With Fire by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian.
So, this photo above is my TBR pile.

The interection is happening on Instagram and I get so excited when I see that there are people sharing their TBR and participating of this project. This makes me really happy.
Till the half of January, I’ll plan and organize new things there. That includes: Sprints, reading calendars, spread sheet for planning, buddy reads and a lot more.

If you’re in the same situation as me, go check the project out. It may help you.
Everyone is more than welcome to join us!

Happy New Year!!

fundo-branco.png

Feliz Ano Novo!!

Hello, beautiful people!
I’m here to wish you guys an amazing 2017 full of health, hapiness and of course, full of good books.
2016 wasn’t a good  year for me. A lot of unexpected things happened and I had to give up of a lot of things I had planned at the beginning of the year. However, I already made my new list for 2017 and I’ll do my best to acomplished all my goals.
In this new year, I want to be more active in here and finally post all the reviews I made and I haven’t posted yet. Also, I’m not complete satisfied with the A Full Time Reader’s design. There’s a lot of things that I wanted to change and aprimorate, but this version of WordPress doesn’t allow me to change much of anything. Howsoever, since I’m at the beginning of blogging, design is not that important; the content is.
Once again, thank you so much for following my blog all this time and for not giving up on me. I’m immensatly happy with all the support you guys gave me and this encourages me even more.
A lot of success this year to you and that 2017 bring us great opportunities. Happy New Year!!
