Convergente (Allegiant)

Sinopse:

Após a mensagem de Edith Prior ser revelada, Quatro, Caleb, Christina e Tori deixam Chicago para descobrir o que há além da cerca. Ao chegarem lá, eles descobrem a existência de uma nova sociedade.

Eu fui ao cinema um dia após a estreia. Apesar de ansiosa para ver como o resultado ficou, minhas expectativas não eram altas. Eu gostei do trailer e até assistia várias vezes por semana, mas optei por esperar a estreia sem tirar conclusão alguma, pois ainda que o filme contenha a mesma estória, são obras completamente diferentes, então eu geralmente não as comparo.

Diferente do segundo filme, Insurgente, Convergente me agradou muito. Os efeitos especiais foram bem utilizados na maioria das vezes e me fez lembrar do momento maravilhoso que foi quando li a trilogia pela primeira vez.

Faz mais de dois anos que os li e não lembro de alguns detalhes, porém teve uma cena do filme (quando o gás é liberado), que quase me emocionou. Foi exatamente daquele jeito que imaginei a cena. O Peter continua engraçado e atrapalhando a vida de todo mundo, tem ação e correria a todo momento, brigas, mentiras, e o que mais me agrada, o relacionamento nada meloso da Tris com o Quatro.

O filme foi divido em duas partes: Convergente e Ascendente. Eu estava muito curiosa para ver como os diretores iam dividir o filme. O final não me deixou muito ansiosa pelo próximo filme, até porque quem leu, sabe muito bem o que acontece, no entanto, a divisão foi feita de maneira apropriada. Deixa um espaço amplo para mudanças e acréscimos.

Se você não foi assistir e/ou não sabe se vale a pena, eu digo: “Dê uma chance.” A tendência de filmes com sequência, é de melhorar ao longo do tempo. Eu vi em Convergente uma boa evolução e indico sim.

I went to the movie theater one day after the premiere here in Brazil. I was excited to see how the result was however my expectations wasn’t high. I liked the trailer and even watched several times, but I chose to wait for the movie without taking any conclusions. Although the film contains the same story, they are completely different works so I do not compare them.

Unlike the second movie, Insurgent, I enjoyed Allegiant. The special effects were well used most of the time and reminded me of the wonderful moment that was when I’ve read the trilogy for the first time.

I’ve read these books two years ago and I don’t remember some details, but it had a scene (when the gas got released), that I almost cried. It was exactly the way I imagined it.
Peter is still funny and disturbs everyone, it has action and running all the time, fights, lies and what pleases me the most, the great relationship between Tris and Four.

The film was divided into two parts: Allegiant and Ascendant. I was very curious to see how the directors were going to split the movie. The end did not leave me much looking forward to the next film, because those who’ve read it knows very well what happens, however, the division was done properly. It leaves plenty of space for changes and extras.

If you didn’t watched yet or don’t know if it’s worth, I say: “Give a chance.”
The tendency of movies with sequel is to improve over time. I saw in Allegiant a big evolution.

Deadpool

Já faz quase sete anos em que  X-Men Origens: Wolverine foi lançado, ou seja, foram sete anos de espera para ver o filme solo do Deadpool. Sofrimento.
Ontem eu fui ao cinema assistir e tenho apenas uma palavra para descrevê-lo: FANTÁSTICO!

Sinceramente, não me lembro qual foi o último filme em que chorei de tanto rir.
O telespectador não precisa nem de um minuto para começar a gargalhar.

Deadpool superou todas as minhas expectativas. Piadas na hora certa , cenas de ação, um pouco de drama, romance e a participação de dois membros do X-Men.
Na minha opinião, terem colocado o Colossus como um dos personagens deste filme, foi uma das melhores decisões que os diretores podiam ter tomado. Ele é praticamente o lado bom e equilibrado do Wade, como um pai.

Um dos aspectos que mais gostei, foi que o personagem, Deadpool, narra a sua história diretamente ao telespectador, tornando a experiência ainda mais agradável.
Outro fator marcante para o humor do filme, foi a chuva de referências. Os diretores não hesitaram ao utilizar piadas sobre os atores da Marvel ou qualquer outro tipo de referência que podiam pensar.

Com apenas um dia de estreia, Deadpool bateu recorde de bilheterias nos Estados Unidos com aproximadamente 13 milhões de dólares! Antes mesmo da estreia, foi confirmado que haveria uma sequência. Convenhamos que o sucesso do filme era eminente.
A 20th Century Fox foi esperta em esperar todos esses anos para filmar e finalmente lançar “Deadpool”. Nesse período em que existem vários filmes sobre super-heróis ou anti-heróis, todas as adaptações possíveis são mais do que bem-vinda.

It’s been almost seven years that X-Men Origins: Wolverine was released, which means, seven years of waiting to see the Deadpool solo movie. Suffering.
Yesterday I went to the movie theater to watch the film and I have only one word to describe it: FANTASTIC!

I honestly do not remember what was the last movie I cried with so much laughing.

Deadpool surpassed all my expectations. Jokes at the right time, action scenes, a bit of drama, romance and the participation of two members of the X-Men.
In my opinion, have put the Colossus as one of the characters in this film was one of the best decisions that the directors could have made. It is almost the good and balanced side of Wade. Like a parent.

Deadpool: And you are…?
Negasonic Teenage Warhead: Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
Deadpool: Negasonic Teenage… what the shit? That’s the coolest name ever!

One of the things I liked most was that the character, Deadpool, tells his story directly to the viewer, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Another important factor for the mood of the movie was the references. The directors did not hesitate to use jokes about actors of Marvel or any other kind of reference they could think of.

Deadpool opening night box office was of $12.7 million! Even before the opening, it was confirmed there was going to have a sequel. We have to admit that the movie’s success was imminent.
20th Century Fox was smart to wait all these years to film and finally release “Deadpool”. During a period when there are several movies about superheroes or antiheroes, all possible adaptations are more than welcome.

A 5ª Onda (The 5th Wave)

Sinopse:

Na primeira onda, um pulso eletromagnético acaba com a eletricidade do planeta, trazendo caos. Na segunda onda, os tsunamis destroem todas as cidades. Na terceira onda, a quantidade de pássaros aumenta, e começam a transmitir a gripe aviária. Na quarta onda, os “Outros” já estão vivendo entre os humanos, disfarçados, eliminando o resto dos sobreviventes. Agora, se a quinta onda for bem sucedida, a humanidade será completamente extinta.

Eu assisti ao filme uma semana após o lançamento, e novamente ontem. Devo dizer que me surpreendi e minhas expectativas foram alcançadas.
Houveram mínimas mudanças em relação ao livro, o que para mim, é um ponto positivo.
Todas as cenas são carregadas de ação e a cinematografia é fantástica. Ao ver os tsunamis tomarem as cidades, imediatamente lembrei do incrível filme: “Terremoto- A Falha de San Andreas”.

“É assim que você acaba com uma espécie. Primeiro, você elimina os mais fáceis, os fracos, os expostos. Você mata da forma mais eficiente possível. Essas foram as três primeiras ondas. Mas mesmo quando você dedetiza a casa, sempre sobra algumas baratas. Agora somos essas baratas, e os “Outros” estão nos caçando. Um de cada vez. E como os “Outros” se parecem com a gente, não podemos confiar em ninguém.”

Os atores escolhidos se encaixaram perfeitamente aos personagens e fizeram um ótimo trabalho. Todos nós já sabemos que a Chloë Grace Moretz arrasa na maioria dos filmes em que participa, mas devo citar que Zackary Arthur, ator que interpreta Sam, é simplesmente a coisa mais fofa do mundo.

É triste saber que A Quinta Onda recebeu várias críticas negativas e é frequentemente comparado aos famosos filmes distópicos, como Jogos Vorazes e Divergente.
Para ser uma distopia, a mesma base de história deve ser utilizada. Um governo opressor somado ao avanço tecnológico ou cenário pós-apocalíptico. Porém, dentro destas “regras”, cada filme tem a sua essência e história à contar. Não há problema algum em comparar um filme com algo que já vimos anteriormente, mas desmerecer uma obra porque achamos que uma outra é superior, ao meu ver, é algo injusto. No entanto, todos nós temos opiniões diferentes e eu respeito isso.

Eu recomendo o filme mesmo para as pessoas que não leram o livro, e não fazem a menor ideia do que acontece no final. O “triângulo amoroso” não interfere na ação que o filme traz e a mensagem que este transmite.
Particularmente, se uma obra envolve alienígenas, de certo eu assistirei/lerei. Não é à toa que amo a série “Doctor Who” e o filme “O Predador”.

Synopsis:

In the first wave, an electromagnetic pulse ends the electricity of the planet, bringing chaos. In the second wave, tsunamis destroy all cities. In the third wave, the number of birds increase and begin transmitting a virus. In the fourth wave, the “others” are already living among humans, undercover, eliminating the rest of the survivors. Now, if the fifth wave be successful, mankind will be completely extinguished.

I’ve watched the film a week after it came out and again yesterday. I must say that I was surprised and my expectations were met.
There were minimal changes from the book which for me is a plus point.
All scenes are loaded with action and the cinematography is fantastic. Seeing the tsunamis take the cities immediately reminded me of the incredible movie “San Andreas”.

“This is how a species is eliminated. First, you will take the easy targets, the weak, the sick. You kill them in the most effective way. This was the first 3 waves. But even when you flood a house with insecticide, there is always some cockroaches and that’s what the survivors are. The “others” are killing us, one by one, because they are like us. We can trust anyone.”

The actors chosen fit perfectly to the characters and they did a great job. We all know that Chloë Grace Moretz was amazing in almost all of the films she participated, but I must mention that Zackary Arthur, actor who plays Sam, it’s just the cutest thing ever.

It’s sad to know that The Fifth Wave received several negative reviews and it’s often compared to the famous dystopian films like The Hunger Games and Divergent.
To be a dystopia, the same basic story must be used. An oppressive government added to technological advancement or post-apocalyptic setting. However, within these “rules”, each film has its essence and story to tell. There is no problem in comparing a film with something we’ve seen before, but depreciate a work because we think another is superior, in my view, is something unfair. However, we all have different opinions and I respect that.

I recommend the movie even for people who have not read the book and have absolutely no idea what happens at the end. The “love triangle” does not interfere with the action of the film or the message that bring us.
Particularly, if a work involves aliens in it I’ll watch/read. No wonder I love the TV Show “Doctor Who” and the movie “Predator”.

Recalling that the last book of the trilogy, “The Last Star”, will be released on May 24 by G. P. Putnam’s Sons.
